JT Jester is not a stranger to hardship. He was born with multiple chronic health conditions, and his childhood didn’t look like the other kids. At only ten years old, he had to go in for emergency surgery, which could result in his permanent paralysis. He recalls telling his grandpa right before the surgery, “Don’t worry, Pa. Jesus will take care of me.”
He says “I knew in my heart, even as a ten-year-old, that God was close by and had felt my pain and anxiety, and that He had heard each one of my prayers. I remembered Isaiah 43:2."
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
JTs surgery was a success. And when his doctor released him earlier than scheduled, ten-year-old JT excitedly announced, “I know how this happened! I have so many people all over the world praying for me–and God was with me and answered their prayers!”
