Earlier this week, I found myself facing some health concerns that led me to urgent care. I’ve always avoided doctors' visits because I feared the extra bills, and I knew I couldn't afford them. After months of putting it off, I finally decided to go and get checked out.
The experience was overwhelming, and I was scared I wouldn’t be able to take care of myself. The doctor said I needed an X-ray to make sure everything was okay. At that moment, I instantly thought, “I can’t afford this without health insurance.” I left feeling anxious and unsure of what to do next.
When I got home, I sat down to figure out my options. My husband walked in, saw how I was feeling, and gave me a comforting hug. He then handed me a piece of mail and said, “This came for you.”
I opened it, and to my surprise, it was a refund check from my school—more than enough to cover my medical bills. I couldn’t believe it. Tears welled up in my eyes as I explained the situation to my husband, who didn’t fully understand why I was so emotional. But in that moment, I knew—God had provided in a way I never expected.
His timing is always perfect.
This was a reminder that even when I’m uncertain or overwhelmed, God’s blessings are abundant. His love is unfailing, never-ending, and everlasting. If you’re in a season of uncertainty, hold fast. God has a beautiful plan for you, and sometimes it’s in the moments of fear and doubt that His grace shines brightest.
Having faith in Him means taking that extra step, even when we can’t see the path ahead. It’s trusting that He will always provide exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.
