I love the 4th of July. It's one of my favorite holidays. But there are two furry little someones in my house that are not so keen on fireworks. Remember that our pets have more sensitive ears than we do and fireworks can be quite terrifying! According to Michelson Found Animals Foundation, July 5th is the busiest day of the year for animal shelters, as panicked animals often get lost trying to outrun the fireworks. (Shameless plug for Putnam County Animal Control. They are over capacity with cats and dogs looking for fur-ever homes!) Check out this article on how to make sure your furry friends are safe and secure this weekend.
