New year, New worries?

Here we are, well into the new year, and I'm slow to start on any of my goals for 2024 or even clearly define new resolutions. Mostly those things are the ones that carry over from year-to-year and are constant hopes for improvement...which sometimes make me feel like I'll never get it right!

Rather than worry about how I'm lacking in those areas and make myself feel bad, I decided to focus on the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:34: "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."

This is what Jesus said after promising to meet all our basic needs. And since He's not limited by time or space as we are, we can know He'll handle our future just like He's covered our past. He provides for us so that we can live each day to the fullest and experience the here and now without worry of tomorrow

Lord, help me live each day fully, not limp along wondering about the future. I want to trust You completely and experience Your presence and all that You have for me each day. Help me to receive and live your abundant life.

Amen!
