Reflections on 2022

2022 was quite the year.

A true rollercoaster of emotions: highs, lows, and everything in between.

Here are some of my takeaways from 2022:

  • Surround yourself with people who genuinely care about you, love you and want the best for you. whether it’s friends or family, and whether you are together or apart, they will become your home.

  • Experiencing loss is hard and weird. Grief is a never ending wave, and that’s ok.

  • The beauty of being human lies in our ability to feel, so feel deeply.

  • Confidence in yourself is not a bad thing. Believing in yourself is not a bad thing. Trusting in who God made you to be is not a bad thing.

  • Never make yourself smaller for someone else; you deserve to take up space.

  • God can truly work through anything. He is much, much bigger than the boxes we try to put Him in.

  • You are allowed to be proud of yourself.

  • Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured.

  • Never diminish where you are on your journey right now. The present is a gift.

  • At the end of the day, if you are loving people well, you have done good work.

I am excited to see what 2023 teaches me. Here we go.
